Job Summary
Manage the daily activity of the sales floor, backroom, and cash register area according to company policy. Ensure each customer receives the highest level of service while maintaining displays, organizing the selling floor, and conducting regular inventory spot checks. Assist the Store Manager with hiring needs, payroll budget control, staff scheduling, and progressive discipline procedures. Monitor loss prevention, verify cash drawer reconciliations, and accurately document petty cash and merchandise receipts. Follow corrective action processes and communicate ideas from staff and customers to leadership. Understand discount policies, upcoming promotions, and POS systems. Work varied days and hours, occasionally lifting over 25 lbs, to support store operations and sales targets.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- One or more years of Store management experience in a retail environment
- Ability to work varied days/hours
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 lbs.
