Job Summary
Assistant Sales Department Manager responsible for directive selling, achieving department sales goals, and delivering exceptional customer experience. Recruits, hires, trains and motivates the team; assists the department manager in achieving volume and productivity goals by developing and executing a business plan; ensures outstanding service, coaching, and leadership on the floor; upholds merchandising standards; manages inventory and shrinkage; builds customer relationships and a loyal following.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience in sales and department management
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Ability to recruit, hire, train and motivate a team
- Directive selling and achieving department and store goals
- Merchandising and presentation standards
- Inventory management and shrinkage control
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work on the sales floor and coach staff
