Job Summary
Rent out self-storage units, parking spaces, and related products by converting walk-in and telephone inquiries into rentals. Maintain accounts receivables through collections, payment posting, and daily bank deposits. Upsell moving products, assist with unit sizing, and greet customers promptly while resolving issues and ensuring property cleanliness. Inspect facilities for maintenance needs, perform lock checks, and execute routine tasks like weeding, light bulb changes, and operating power tools. Must be physically able to lift 50lbs, hold a valid driver's license, and float between Albany, NY locations. Requires 1-2 years of customer-facing experience, proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and POS systems, and availability to work at various sites.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the phone
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Must be technically savvy with the ability to learn new applications and Point of Sale systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Outlook
- Must be physically able to perform routine maintenance duties daily such as walking the property to assess areas of need, maintaining cleanliness of bathrooms, office and hallways, weeding, operating power tools, changing light bulbs and other maintenance related duties
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Possession of a valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation
- Availability for travel and flexibility to work at various locations
- Must be able to float to the 2 other locations in Albany, NY
