Job Summary
Assist in daily restaurant operations as an Assistant Manager. Responsible for operating equipment, stocking ingredients from delivery to storage and prep areas, preparing products, processing telephone and in-person orders, taking inventory, completing related paperwork, and cleaning equipment and facilities. Requires ability to comprehend and follow written instructions, communicate clearly with customers and co-workers, and perform basic arithmetic for cash handling and order processing. Roles involve standing for extended periods, walking on varied surfaces, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and basic use of a computer/ touchscreen for order entry. Strong multitasking and teamwork skills are essential to manage the front and back-of-house duties and ensure smooth shift operations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders (phone and in person)
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and give correct change; comfortable with cash handling and using a calculator
- Proficient keyboard or touchscreen order entry
- Ability to stand for long periods; perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent bending, reaching, and carrying
- Experience in operational tasks such as stocking, inventory, cleaning equipment and facilities, and basic food prep
- Strong communication skills in verbal, written, and telephone interactions
- Ability to operate equipment and use tools such as pens, calculator, and POS system
- Basic math for pricing, change, and inventory
- Team leadership and ability to coordinate with team members
