Job Summary
Assistant Manager responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations. Must set the example and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, and exacting standards. Additional duties include staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, working to a schedule, maintaining a perfect image, and providing great customer service, as well as attendance and punctuality. Opportunities for advancement from assistant manager to general manager or franchisee are highlighted, with a path from driver to store leadership. The role requires the ability to operate equipment, stock ingredients, prepare product, process orders, take inventory and complete related paperwork, and maintain store cleanliness; training is provided on the job. Essential skills include arithmetic accuracy, verbal and written communication, and the ability to read instructions and use a computer to enter orders. The job emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and the ability to work under stress in a fast-paced pizza-store environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
- Must be able to make correct monetary change
- Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
- Access to insured vehicle for delivery
- Ability to operate and use computer/ordering systems
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to supervise, train and manage staff
- Ability to follow policies and procedures 100% of the time
- Ability to navigate and operate in a fast-paced store environment
- Physical ability to perform tasks described (standing, lifting, etc.)
- Ability to work shift schedules and maintain attendance/punctuality
