Job Summary
Inspect facilities and equipment to determine maintenance needs, assign staff duties, and oversee repairs, renovations, and cleaning. Obtain contractor bids, purchase supplies, and perform routine tasks like painting, plumbing, and electrical work. Manage daily garbage removal and maintain exterior areas including landscaping and common spaces. Document resident work orders and notify management of major repairs. Supervise maintenance personnel in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of maintenance experience in a residential or commercial setting
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance techniques
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, walking, kneeling, and climbing ladders
Desired Qualifications
- Technical school certification or college coursework in a related field
- Proficiency in using property management software for work order tracking
