Job Summary
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing community repairs, make-readies, and preventative maintenance while monitoring service requests and expediting emergencies. Perform hands-on work including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs, plus groundskeeping and pool maintenance. Prepare vacant apartments for move-in by completing necessary repairs and coordinating with vendors. Accurately log all activities in OneSite and ensure community safety by identifying and correcting hazardous conditions. Provide direct customer service to residents and vendors while training junior staff and managing supply inventory. Requires EPA certification, tile work skills, and ability to work weekends, holidays, and a rotating on-call schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of general maintenance experience
- at least 6 months of apartment maintenance experience
- EPA certification Type I, Type II, or Universal
- Must be able to perform tile work
- carpentry repairs
- all facets of the apartment make-ready process
- troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment
- plumbing systems
- electronic systems
- all major appliances
- pool and spa equipment
- other systems on community
- certifications/permits required by city or state to perform job responsibilities
- dependable transportation to/from work
- valid driver's license (for employees who work at communities utilizing Low Speed Vehicles)
- ability to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule

Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma and some college or trade school
- CPO certification
