Job Summary
Assistant Maintenance at Valiant Residential for Silver Springs Apartments in Tulsa, OK. Responsible for assisting maintenance supervisor, handling resident service requests within 24 hours, manage on-call rotation, ensure safety and compliance with ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA, maintain records, perform routine maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, fixtures, and general property upkeep, assist in property inspections, and support the leasing team to maximize renewal opportunities. Strong communication skills and basic hand tools required; EPA certification and Spanish-language skills are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical Certification is a plus.
- EPA (refrigerant, transition, and recovery certification)
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English to effectively interact with team members, residents, vendors, and other stakeholders. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Own a basic set of hand tools.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record and auto insurance.
- Ability to perform work responsibilities at other locations and ability to travel within major metropolitan areas with possible overnight stays in other cities.
- Ability to work some weekends as needed.
