Assistant Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
Oversee and delegate maintenance staff activities, schedule groundskeeping and equipment installs, and ensure plant processes operate to set standards. Lead bi-weekly safety meetings, manage requisitions and vacations, and handle personnel issues for maintenance workers. Ensure compliance with safety tests and certifications (LOTO, forklift, ammonia systems, confined spaces, electrical safety). Maintain a hands-on approach with the maintenance team and coordinate with plant operations to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- GED or high school diploma
- Bachelor's degree in industrial maintenance or engineering preferred
- 3-7 years related experience in maintenance
- Experience supervising maintenance workers or teams
- Must be able to pass safety-related tests (LOTO, pallet jack, forklift, scissor lift, ammonia system, confined spaces, electrical safety)
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to schedule and manage equipment installs and site operations
- Strong safety and compliance mindset
