Job Summary
Assistant Building Maintenance Manager at Bozzuto responsible for leading maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair; oversee make-ready and apartment turnover to ensure timely leasing; uphold preventative maintenance programs and safety; maintain building values, grounds, and snow removal; ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards; participate in on-call rotation and weekend work; requires 5+ years of trades/building maintenance, HVAC certification, strong leadership, and proficient communication; residential property operations focus with hands-on and supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in trades/facilities/residential building maintenance
- HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification
- Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS
- Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical trades and appliance repair
- Basic carpentry, drywall and painting skills
- Exposure to complex mechanical systems such as central plant, split systems, boilers and chillers
- Availability for emergency situations and on-call rotation
- Strong leadership aptitude and supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Safety mindset and attention to detail
- Professional appearance and ability to climb stairs, work in varying weather conditions
