Job Summary
Assistant Maintenance Manager responsible for the appearance and working order of apartments, exterior, and common areas, with technical experience in Maintenance, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Leads preventive maintenance, supervises Maintenance/Engineering staff, and ensures timely completion of resident service tickets. Manages make-readies and apartment turnover to enable leasing and move-ins, preserves building value and safety through proactive maintenance and grounds upkeep, and adheres to building, county, and safety codes. Role involves 30% office and 70% fieldwork with exposure to outdoor temperatures, and coordinating weekend/on-call emergency coverage to support residents and the community.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade school and/or military training or industry designation (CAMT or CAMT II)
- Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation
- Gas, HVAC, Plumbing, and/or Electrical experience/assets
