Job Summary
Coordinate maintenance resources, distribute work orders, and engineer solutions to ensure production efficiency and safety. Lead the Maintenance team in assigning tasks, identifying equipment weaknesses, and implementing programs to reduce downtime while tracking physical inventory. Manage vendor relationships to negotiate pricing for parts and tools, submit weekly reports on expenditures and machine downtime, and maintain machine history files and schematics. Collaborate with the Food Safety department to ensure cGMP compliance and establish routine communication with Production Supervisors regarding equipment performance. Assist with employee development, suggest training plans, and make recommendations for hiring, budgeting, and operational improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or equivalent experience
- Management experience in operations, maintenance, and/or process improvement roles, including supervising teams of people
- 3-5 years of experience in Industrial Automation, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and Mechanical mechanisms
