Job Summary
Assistant Maintenance Manager responsible for maintaining the property's physical condition per company standards, prioritizing service requests and general maintenance tasks, and spending the majority of time on hands-on repairs. Role includes supervising maintenance staff and outside contractors, assisting in budgeting and scheduling, maintaining inventory and preventative maintenance programs, and promoting safety and confidentiality in line with company policies. Requires experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related trades, and strong customer service orientation. Work is performed on-site at a luxury Santa Clara property with standard on-site duties and responsibilities managed in coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in property management maintenance or related field
- Strong knowledge of major appliances, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry
- Ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks 90-95% of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights
- Valid ability to work all seven days of the week and be on-call
- Fluency in English
