Job Summary
Assist the senior maintenance technician in maintaining the physical integrity of the community, ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, safety compliance (OSHA, EPA), routine repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and appliances, coordinating make-ready repairs, inventory awareness, reporting major repairs, and assisting with moving tasks. Must work a minimum of 40 hours per week, be non-exempt, and adhere to safety rules; on-call rotations and weekend work may be required. Requires at least 1 year of property maintenance experience and HVAC/CAMT certifications as applicable; the role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and following regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- HVAC Certified required
- Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) desired
- 1 year of property maintenance experience or equivalent
- Knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances)
- Willingness to wear safety equipment and follow safety procedures
