Assistant Lodge Manager, Revelstoke

Job Summary

Collaborate with CMH and Regent management teams to achieve program goals through administrative tasks, daily problem-solving, and supervising staff. Provide direction, feedback, and coaching to develop and lead CMH employees while acting as the main point of contact for guests. Create and manage staff schedules, ensure weekly time entry completion, and support policies for Occupational Health and Safety, WorkSafe BC, and WHMIS. Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and build a culture prioritizing safety, guest experience, and financial results. Occasionally transport guests and participate in emergency response training. Operate on a rotating schedule covering evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in hospitality, travel and tourism, or equivalent work experience
  • Food Safe Certificate
  • Occupational First Aid Level 1, or equivalent
  • BC Serving-it-Right
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in the hospitality industry
  • Previous experience in entry-management
  • Class 4 Driver's Licence
  • Confident with public speaking and the facilitation of training sessions and workshops
  • Strong sense of work ethic and accountability, with an ability to function well in a team environment and focus on team success
  • A willingness to learn and develop skills with on-the-job management training
  • A passion for providing high-end hospitality and service experiences
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, & PowerPoint
  • Integrity, discretion, and critical thinking, along with adaptability and effective problem-solving skills
  • A positive, collaborative working style is essential, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strategic planning abilities
  • The candidate must be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn other relevant software platforms
  • The ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating seasonal workloads and changing priorities
  • The role requires a trustworthy, goal-oriented, respectful, and self-directed individual who can navigate complex responsibilities
  • The confidence to interact with all levels of the company, including those in remote locations within a hub-and-spoke model
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on a occasional basis
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a regular basis
  • This position requires you to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business
  • Employees are required to find their own way to and from the Regent Hotel where CMH Revelstoke is based
  • Travel is required from time-to-time throughout the year for company meetings and workshops
