Assistant Lodge Manager, Gothics

Job Summary

Collaborate with the management team to achieve lodge goals by handling administrative tasks for hospitality and F&B programs. Provide direction, feedback, and coaching to staff while acting as the primary host for guests and managing their inquiries. Create and manage the staff schedule, track inventory levels, and ensure compliance with safety and sustainability initiatives. Step into the Lodge Manager role during scheduled absences and support injured guests or follow up on feedback as needed. Work with area management to build a safe workplace and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in hospitality, travel and tourism, or equivalent work experience
  • Food Safe Certificate
  • Occupational First Aid Level 1, or equivalent
  • BC Serving-it-Right
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in the hospitality industry, preferred
  • Previous experience in entry-management, preferred
  • Experience in Point of Sale, preferred
  • Confident with public speaking and the facilitation of training sessions and workshops
  • Strong sense of work ethic and accountability, with an ability to function well in a team environment and focus on team success
  • A willingness to learn and develop skills with on-the-job management training
  • A passion for providing high-end hospitality and service experiences
  • Integrity, discretion, and critical thinking, along with adaptability and effective problem-solving skills
  • A positive, collaborative working style, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strategic planning abilities
  • The ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn other relevant software platforms
  • The ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating seasonal workloads and changing priorities
  • The role requires a trustworthy, goal-oriented, respectful, and self-directed individual who can navigate complex responsibilities
  • The confidence to interact with all levels of the company, including those in remote locations within a hub-and-spoke model
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on a occasional basis
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a regular basis
  • This position requires you to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business
  • Employees are required to find their own way to and from the lodge or helicopter staging area, which includes travel on logging roads
  • Travel to and from the lodge or helicopter staging area will be reimbursed up to a specific amount each way, for a maximum of two roundtrips per month
  • Travel is required from time-to-time throughout the year for company meetings and workshops
  • This position requires flexibility and willingness to accept new responsibilities and potentially transfer others
