Job Summary
Inspect yard and warehouse facilities, implement space allocation changes, and maintain orderly storage to ensure safety and efficiency. Monitor delivery processes, investigate customer complaints regarding damages or delays, and coordinate safety activities including committees and accident investigations. Supervise yard personnel, inside sales teams, and dispatch staff by assigning daily activities, developing work schedules, and managing hiring and performance appraisals. Participate in purchasing material handling equipment and plan training for all yard staff. Maintain records of fleet expenses and address inventory control issues with the yard manager.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent analytical, communications, personal leadership, and business management skills
- Knowledge of residential, multi-family, and light commercial building techniques and industry standards
- Comfortable working in a challenging, fast-paced sales environment
- Team builder; ability to create and maintain an environment that welcomes associate participation
Desired Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business or related fields
