Job Summary
Answer and return all calls or correspondence promptly, greet prospective residents, and show the property in accordance with established procedures. Schedule appointments and conduct in-person visits as requested, recording all traffic in weekly reports and YARDI. Assist in the leasing process by pre-qualifying prospects, maintaining thorough product knowledge of the property and competitors, and accurately preparing lease-related paperwork including housing applications and move-in information. Maintain confidentiality of all client and tenant information while following FRH, HUD, and CHFA policies and regulations. Perform general clerical assistance including taking messages and filing, and call new residents to check on their settling-in experience and prior to renewals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience and training
- equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Must be able to read and write the English language in a professional, legible manner
- Must possess and be able to use and apply common sense understanding and use good judgment daily
- Must be able to work well with others
- Must be able to handle stressful, urgent, diverse situations in a calm and reasonable manner
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, emotional stability, and personal maturity
- Valid drivers license
- ability to be insured at standard rates
- Criminal background checks
Desired Qualifications
- working knowledge of all pertinent rules regulations applicable to the position, including the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program, HUD Multi-Family rules, Fair Housing, HCV, and appropriate leasing procedures
- Knowledge working with HCV, 50059, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- YARDI experience
