Job Summary
Assist as working supervisor on night shift to establish routine cleaning and maintenance procedures, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building and grounds operations. Direct and train custodians; supervise and operate custodial equipment; apply techniques for minor repairs; maintain building and grounds with a focus on safety and efficiency; read, write, and understand instructions for cleaning and maintenance procedures; ensure clear oral communication of procedures and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Ability to direct, read, write, and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance and safety procedures
- Good oral communication skills
- Complete knowledge in techniques for minor building repairs
- Complete knowledge in building and grounds maintenance
- Ability to operate, maintain and lift all custodial cleaning equipment
- Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies
- Ability to supervise and train custodians in equipment operations, building and grounds maintenance procedures
- One (1) year experience in custodial, building and grounds maintenance or equivalent
