Job Summary
The Assistant Land Surveyor will support field surveys including boundaries, topographic, and as-built surveys, operate survey instruments, and maintain survey data records. The role requires collaboration with the Land Survey Party Chief to ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years full-time paid professional experience in performing routine, non-technical work in a surveying party
- One (1) year on-the-job field training or experience
- Experience interpreting civil engineering drawings
- Experience in data collection by setting up and operating total stations, levels, GPS, and measuring lines, elevations, and positions
Desired Qualifications
- A valid Land Surveyor-In-Training Certificate, issued by the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to make accurate mathematical calculations and create primary or basic civil engineering sketches
