Job Summary
Support the Senior Designer in all aspects of the product lifecycle from innovative concept to final development. Research overarching trends for seasonal line development by analyzing retail and runway data to compile comprehensive reports. Create original design concepts, including sketches, CAD designs, and account-specific tech packages, while developing new yarns, mixes, and stitch details. Execute specs and layouts, track yarn and stitch knowledge, and assist in fittings to convey intended garment fit. Prepare digital presentations for milestone meetings, manage video and photoshoots, and coordinate with cross-functional teams including Design, Sales, Merchandising, Production, and Digital across Hong Kong and New York offices. Maintain design archives, handle international shipping, and log sample references.
Required Qualifications
- Superior organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Self-Motivated with a team player attitude
- Advanced in Adobe Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign for creative presentation deck development
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint for presentations
- Proficient on Mac Computer
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Creative sketching skills
- Color sense and yarn knowledge
- A strong interest and passion for knitwear
- Two years' experience in knitwear
