Job Summary
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow, standardized recipe execution, and strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations. Supervise and train the kitchen team while providing performance feedback to the Kitchen Manager. Assist with inventory control, ordering, and storage to minimize waste, and support cost management by tracking expenditures and identifying savings opportunities. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to address food-related issues promptly and analyze customer feedback for continuous improvement. Requires a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical demands involving extended standing, lifting up to 50lbs, and moderate to loud noise levels.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a kitchen leadership role, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional food and service
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the business
- Physical activity including long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and scooping
- The employee will be required regularly to reach with arms and hands
- The employee will be required to lift up to 50lbs
- Use of sight, reading, wrist movement to serve meals and beverages, operate food service equipment and clean food service areas
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception
