Job Summary
Assistant Kitchen Manager responsible for coaching and mentoring a team of cooks, ensuring training, safety, cleanliness, and efficient back-of-house operations; schedule planning based on sales forecasts; maintain purchasing, ordering, and food storage standards; foster collaboration between front and back of house; hire and onboard staff; communicate across levels; and support continuous improvement with Foodsafe knowledge and administrative tasks. Travel for training within the Calgary region is required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous kitchen management experience
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Administrative skills, including scheduling, emailing, and ordering
- Ability to hire new employees and conduct interviews
- Foodsafe Certification preferred
