Job Summary
The Assistant Kitchen Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, enforce food safety and sanitation standards, manage inventory, and control labor costs in collaboration with the Kitchen Manager. Responsibilities include interacting respectfully with customers and employees, performing weekly inventory counts, managing supplies, communicating procedures and promotions, and performing other assigned tasks to support departmental success. Candidates must be at least 16 years old, have reliable transportation, and complete food safety and skills-based certifications within specified timeframes. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, multitasking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age upon hire date
- Must have reliable transportation
- Completion of food safety certification within the first month of employment is required
- Completion of a skills-based certification within the first 120 days of employment is mandatory
