Job Summary
Assistant Junior High Boys Basketball Coach responsible for instructing students in fundamentals and skills of basketball, organizing and coordinating the program, planning regular practices and off-season activities, communicating with students, staff, parents, community, and media, scheduling contests with the Athletic Director, assessing student performance for eligibility, enforcing sportsmanship, recommending equipment purchases, and maintaining safety and paperwork. Requires coaching endorsement and coaching authorization; a bachelor's degree with teaching certificate is recommended. This is a part-time coaching role based in Bondurant, Iowa.
