Job Summary
Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate curriculum; nurture each child’s emotional, social, and cognitive development; engage with children during learning, play, and transitions; maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment; build positive relationships with families and communicate regularly; collaborate with other teachers and school leaders to ensure excellence in every classroom.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1+ year of experience working with children ages 6 weeks – 5 years (preferred)
- Meets all Colorado state licensing requirements for early childhood staff
- Reliable and professional with consistent attendance
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Infant and Young Toddler Teachers must be able to safely lift infants in and out of cribs
- Completes required pre-service, onboarding, and annual training hours
- Adheres to all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Maintains a positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to The Gardner School’s mission and values
