Job Summary
Lead innovative learning activities, prepare and organize materials, and supervise children during meals and naptime to ensure safety and a positive environment. Monitor each child's progress and development while fostering a harmonious atmosphere where students and staff thrive. This Assistant Infant Teacher role supports the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum at Montessori of Alameda, part of Endeavor Schools' 100+ school network. Spanish language skills are preferred, and candidates must maintain high standards of care and communication.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bilingual English/ Spanish
- Professional Development Units / Credits
- Experience in Early Childhood Education in a certified child development center (minimum 6 months)
- Prior experience with the assigned age group
- Specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Patience
- A nurturing attitude
- A sincere interest in the well-being and development of young learners
