Job Summary
Assist Lead Teacher in delivering a nurturing, safe, and educational classroom environment for infants, toddlers, or preschool-age children. Support daily routines (circle time, story time, snack, outdoor play, rest time), help with lesson planning and curriculum implementation, supervise transitions and activities, maintain a safe and organized classroom aligned with licensing regulations, encourage independence and social interaction, document children’s behavior and milestones for families and team, adapt to assigned classroom needs, and collaborate with staff to foster an inclusive early childhood learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in child care, preschool, daycare, or toddler education (required)
- Understanding of child development principles and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
- CDA or enrollment in Early Childhood Education courses (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
