Job Summary
Greet guests with a friendly attitude, recommend merchandise based on needs, and consistently share product knowledge to drive sales. Recruit new team members, coach current staff on sales presentations and visual standards, and lead the team in the Store Manager's absence. Manage visual merchandising by assigning zones, ensuring floor compliance, and executing markdowns and pulls. Operate POS systems, handle exchanges and returns, maintain inventory levels, and follow loss prevention guidelines including bag checks. Complete opening and closing checklists, track performance metrics, and communicate guest or policy concerns to management. Work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and cover other stores within the district as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related retail experience
- or training
- or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs throughout the store and backroom
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the day of/day after Thanksgiving and Christmas, based upon store and business needs
- Ability to travel and cover other Stores within District based on business needs
- Ability to effectively understand and show the merchandise of both the Gals and Guys' sides to benefit the Team and Guests
- Ability to identify and follow through on all Teammate training need
- Ability to foresee and anticipate changes in product and act independently to improve overall visual results
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the day of/day after Thanksgiving and Christmas, based upon store and business needs
