Job Summary
Assistant in Training supports sales, merchandising, and store operations while working directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team. Responsibilities include greeting guests, helping customers locate merchandise, demonstrating product knowledge, and delivering legendary service. The role emphasizes training and developing Teammates, with the Assistant Manager position representing a progression to higher duties such as leadership, recruitment, and stepping in for the Store Manager as needed. Duties also cover maintaining SPG standards, driving personal sales, managing guest relationships, and contributing to a positive store culture through coaching and ownership of department goals and daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
