Job Summary
Assist with planning, ordering, and maintaining plant materials, flowers, and horticultural supplies. Maintain and care for flower beds, hanging baskets, and landscaped areas through planting, weeding, pruning, mulching, and soil preparation. Apply fertilizers and soil amendments, monitor plant health, and support pest and disease control. Operate landscaping equipment such as blowers, mowers, trimmers, and edgers safely. Maintain accurate daily records and ensure clean, organized work areas. Assist the turf care team with general grounds upkeep and seasonal planting programs. Work outdoors in varying conditions, lifting up to 40 lbs, Monday through Friday from 5-7am to 1-3pm.
Required Qualifications
- A background, training, or interest in horticulture
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs
- Must hold a valid BC Drivers License
- Work permit/visa/ ability to work in Canada is mandatory
Desired Qualifications
- Previous gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping experience
- Having previous golf course or nursery experience
- Knowledge of West Coast Plant ID
- Irrigation system knowledge
