Job Summary
Assistant High School Volleyball Coach (JV) supports the Head Coach in implementing program goals, supervising athletes during practices, games, and travel, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment. Responsibilities include coaching fundamentals, monitoring safety, promoting sportsmanship, mentoring student-athletes, tracking academic performance, organizing team travel and events, equipment management, and assisting with team communications and community engagement. Required qualifications include Iowa Coaching Authorization or Coaching Endorsement (BOEE), CPR/AED, Concussion in Sports, and Heat Illness Prevention, plus strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with students, staff, and parents. The role emphasizes leadership, adherence to district/state rules, and support of program philosophy within an extra-curricular, stipend context.
Required Qualifications
- Iowa Coaching Authorization or Coaching Endorsement (BOEE)
