Job Summary
The Assistant Head Teacher role involves supporting the Head Teacher with operational tasks, maintaining academic standards, and managing internal records. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with course and lesson plan submissions, reviewing course feedback, creating educational materials, and coordinating recruitment processes. Candidates must possess a CELTA qualification, significant classroom experience, and strong communication skills. A meticulous and proactive attitude along with the ability to manage multiple tasks is essential. This part-time position offers potential for additional teaching hours.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum teaching qualification: CELTA (or equivalent accredited certificate).
- A minimum of 3-4 years of practical classroom experience post-certification.
- Proven experience in academic coordination, materials development, or a senior teacher role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C2 level).
- High proficiency with standard office and document formatting software (e.g., Microsoft Suite of applications).
Desired Qualifications
- DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) or working towards it is preferred.
- A Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or Educational Leadership is an advantage.
Additional Requirements
