Job Summary
Direct unit operations by assisting leadership with staffing schedules, daily huddles, and escalating equipment or environmental issues. Oversee patient assessments, discharge planning, and education while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and quality improvement initiatives. Serve as a clinical resource and liaison between physicians, staff, and families to coordinate optimal care. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nursing and labor relations policies, participate in nursing and hospital-wide committees, and monitor performance improvement efforts. Requires BSN, 2+ years of acute care RN experience, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Salary range $60.08–$68.54/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (for Emergency Department)
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of working Registered Nurse (RN) experience in relevant acute care clinical setting/clinical specialty
- Prior leadership experience
- Master's degree
- Certification in clinical specialty
