Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day hatchery operations to ensure efficient production and adherence to quality standards while supervising and training staff. Perform regular maintenance and repairs on equipment, monitor environmental conditions like temperature and humidity, and adjust settings to optimize hatch rates. Maintain records for inventory, production data, and employee schedules, and coordinate with sales and shipping for timely order delivery. Implement safety protocols and regulatory compliance measures, and assist in developing improvement initiatives to enhance productivity. This role supports the Hatchery Manager at our facility in Cordova, TN, where a mechanically inclined individual with strong management skills will contribute to a diverse workforce.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Fluent in Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking employees is preferable, but not required
