Assistant Guest Services Manager (Bell/Valet)

Job Summary
Provide daily leadership, coaching, and support to the Guest Services team, including Bell Captains, Bellpersons, and Resort Drivers, while maintaining a strong on-floor presence. Coordinate VIP arrivals, communicate proactively across departments, and respond quickly to guest concerns to ensure exceptional first and last impressions. Supervise up to 20 colleagues, prioritize operational responsibilities, and manage the front-of-house vehicle fleet in partnership with Engineering. Champion the Safe Driving Program and fulfill responsibilities as the Commercial Safety Officer. Assist with scheduling, seasonal transitions, and departmental planning while developing training materials. Work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays, with significant standing, walking, and lifting up to 100lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Supervisory or management experience within a hotel Guest Services, Bell Services, or Front Office environment
- Valid Alberta Class 4 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
- Comfortable operating luxury vehicles, larger passenger vehicles, and standard transmission vehicles
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for coaching and developing others
- Exceptional guest service and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Significant standing and walking throughout the shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50lbs / 23kg
- Occasional pushing of luggage carts weighing up to 200lbs / 90kg
- Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 100lbs / 45kg
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field
- Previous luxury hotel or resort leadership experience
- Experience working within Forbes Travel Guide or AAA Four Diamond service environments
- Strong knowledge of Banff National Park and the surrounding region
- Commercial driving or transportation fleet management experience
