Assistant Group Produce Director

Assist Group Produce Director in managing the daily operation of the produce departments; assume complete responsibility in the absence of the Group Produce Director. Responsibilities include managing P&L metrics to drive positive financial results, procuring and pricing perishables, merchandising and advertising quality produce, and handling vendor relationships. Roles include multi-retail unit responsibilities, reducing shrink to achieve targeted gross margins, and coordinating with senior leadership to set annual targets and departmental strategy. Strong supervisory, communication, and analytical skills are required, with proficiency in Windows-based software (Excel, Word, Outlook) and point-of-sale/accounting systems. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and maintaining a fast-paced work environment.
