Job Summary
Assist the Group Leader/Site Coordinator to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum; supervise children, assist with lesson planning and daily attendance; ensure licensing compliance with EEC QRIS standards and safety regulations; maintain cleanliness of the child care classroom; prioritize safety and support the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility; report accidents or incidents with required documentation; perform other duties to support the organization as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be EEC Assistant Group Leader qualified
- Must know, understand and display full knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for school aged children
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be familiar with Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) Licensing Regulations
- Must be familiar with Massachusetts Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) Standards
- Maintain current CPR certification and First Aid throughout employment
