Job Summary

Assistant Site Manager leads daily operations of a residential program serving adults with IDD, blending direct support, staff supervision, and administrative responsibilities to ensure high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and a safe, supportive home environment. This role serves as a key on-shift leader, supporting residents, guiding staff, and helping maintain smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include supporting residents in developing independent living skills (nutrition, hygiene, money management, social skills), assisting with personal care and medical needs, administering medications and maintaining documentation, promoting community integration, maintaining records and progress notes, tracking progress toward goals in IHP/ISP, documenting in electronic systems, transporting residents to medical appointments and activities, supervising staff through training and delegation, coordinating with the Site Manager, attending required trainings, and supporting home operations including budgeting, resident logs, and recreational planning. Qualifications emphasize a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, high school diploma or GED, ability to pass MVR check, willingness to train, computer proficiency, and strong leadership capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work; able to drive themselves between work sites; comfortable driving agency vans when transporting individuals served
  • High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to attend and complete a required two-week, in-office paid training on hire and maintain annual recertifications
  • Proficiency with computers and agency systems to document reports, log data, check emails, and upload required documentation
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other web-based systems
  • Ability to provide professional references during the application process
  • Strong judgment, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while ensuring resident safety
