Assistant Grocery Team Leader

Manage inventories by tracking weekly reports and ordering products and supplies to meet customer requirements and maximize profits. Schedule team members and delegate work assignments in accordance with collective bargaining agreement, while developing and implementing merchandising plans to meet financial objectives. Control department costs by monitoring operations, preparing inventory records to calculate gross monthly profits, and directing training to reduce turnover. Maintain a safe and clean environment ensuring health and OSHA requirements are met, and develop communication processes with other departments to create marketing plans. Promote continuous development of team members and identify candidates for the Team Leader Development Program. This role supports Giant Eagle Inc.'s mission to put food on shoppers' tables across the Greater Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus, and Indianapolis areas.
