Job Summary
Manage and lead one of the busiest grocery teams by assisting the Grocery Manager in merchandising for maximum productivity and profit. Coordinate daily operations including ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of staff. Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team while unloading and sorting store deliveries. Ensure strict execution of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for yourself and all team members. Prioritize multiple tasks including goal setting, communication, and direction to drive sales and margins. This role requires a flexible schedule covering nights, weekends, and holidays, with physical demands including lifting up to 60 lbs and repetitive squatting. Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- 1-3 years retail management experience
- Familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets
- Dependable and reliable
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Walking up to 3 miles per 8 hours
- Strong good communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to take and give direction

- Must vertically transfer milk trays weighing up to 60 lbs., from 9" to 62", for up to 25 hours
- Must vertically/horizontally transfer boxes weighing up to 50 lbs., from 5" to 34", for a distance up to 5 feet for up to 25 hours without mechanical assistance
- Repetitive squatting/kneeling/bending to access a point 5 inches from the floor for up to 30 hours is expected
