Job Summary
Coordinate tee times, manage reservations, and handle POS transactions while acting as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries and issue resolution. Assist with event and tournament coordination, including reaching out to package guests and auditing billing for gratuities. Maintain operational checklists, track lost equipment, and ensure course safety by coordinating with the Grounds Department. Respond to emails, manage retail activity in the golf shop, and report security concerns or incidents to management. Work full-time hours during busy and non-peak seasons, including weekends and holidays, while driving golf carts and standing for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school / GED
- Previous experience in golf operations (inside and outside services)
- Valid State Driver's License
- Ability to work schedule required to fulfill duties of position
- Ability to work up to or near 40 hours per week, including covering shifts and working overtime as needed
- Minimum of 30 hours of workweek
- Ability to work the schedule assigned, which may include weekends and holidays
- Reliable and dependable, meeting attendance requirements including requesting time off in advance
- Ability to drive move around the golf course by driving a golf cart and/or walking
- Standing for long periods of time
- Physical endurance including bending
- Ability to quickly address and resolve guest issues
- Basic knowledge of golf including etiquette, golf club's course layout and services offered
- Ability to use employee self-service on company's human resources/payroll database
- Ability to use Point-of-Sale system, email systems, and any other applicable operational systems
- Ability to drive move around the golf course by driving a golf cart and/or walking
- Standing for long periods of time
- Requires physical endurance including bending
- Regularly required to talk and actively listen
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to adjust focus, and manual dexterity in combination with eye/hand coordination
- Work around people
- Ability to use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms
- Frequent lifting and carrying equipment, such as golf bags, which may weigh up to 50 pounds or more
Desired Qualifications
- PGA Associate or Member status
- Prior teaching experience
