Job Summary
The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for managing day-to-day golf operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting tournament planning at Grey Oaks Country Club. Key responsibilities include coordinating golf activities, maintaining tee time systems, assisting with merchandising, managing tournament operations, and promoting a positive professional image. Ideal candidates possess a solid understanding of golf and customer service, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and can effectively communicate and resolve conflicts. A minimum of PGA Class A-8 membership or progress towards certification is required, with a Bachelor's degree being desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations
- PGA Class A-8 membership or working toward certification
- Experience working at high end private clubs or in the hospitality industry
- Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient with MS Office and related software including email, internet, tournament, database & POS
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
