Job Summary
The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent oversees the maintenance and construction of the golf course, ensuring turf grass is repaired and maintained to standards. Responsibilities include managing maintenance staff, assisting with budget adherence, supervising planting and maintenance practices, ensuring the proper maintenance of construction equipment, and managing procurement within budget. The role requires a solid educational background in agronomy or related fields, combined with relevant experience. Effective communication skills and knowledge of safety regulations are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree, Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from four or two-year college or technical school
- Three to four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Degree preference in agronomy/horticulture/plant/soil science
- Valid Driver’s License
- Pesticide Application License
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read and speak English is required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
