Job Summary
Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach role supporting Head Coach and athletic program by assisting with practices, instruction, supervision, and program operations. Responsibilities include planning and conducting practices and competitions, providing instruction and feedback on skills and strategy, supervising student-athletes during practices, games, and travel, reinforcing program standards and culture, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork, assisting with equipment management and logistics, professional communication with athletes, parents, and staff, monitoring conduct and academic accountability, maintaining compliance with school policies and athletic regulations, and fulfilling additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Department. Key skills include coaching ability, strong communication, teamwork, professionalism, dedication to student-athlete development, and a commitment to the school’s values; certifications (CPR/AED/First Aid) and background checks are required.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the sport and willingness to continue learning and developing as a coach
- Previous coaching or playing experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively as part of a coaching staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and commitment to student-athlete development
- Commitment to the mission and values of the school and athletic department
- CPR, AED, First Aid, and required certifications
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and compliance training
