Job Summary
Assistant Girls Swimming Coach for Iowa City Community School District. Responsibilities include applying athletic policies, developing athletes from fundamentals to advanced skills, maintaining positive relationships with players, parents, and fans, monitoring student-athletes' academic records per district/state eligibility rules, ensuring supervision during practices and competitions, and supporting the health and wellbeing of student athletes. Must possess CPR certification and be willing to work summers, weekends, and other allowable times to maintain a championship program. Contract days are determined by the season of the sport; salary and calendar year to be established by the Board of Education.
Required Qualifications
- Iowa Coaching Certification
- Coaching experience
- Experience working with junior high and/or high school youth
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable.
