Job Summary
Coaches are responsible for teaching soccer techniques, game strategies, conditioning athletes for endurance and strength, and supervising practices, contests, locker rooms, buses, and facilities. They also teach sportsmanship and work ethic, monitor attendance and grades, respond to player injuries with approved first aid techniques, manage uniforms and equipment, and provide coverage for absent coaches. Vacancies are developed at each school and posted by the District Athletic Programs Administrator; candidates are screened and interviewed, with a letter of application submitted to the athletic director. Annual appointments are one-year terms with duties assigned by the principal through SBDM consultations.
