Job Summary
The Assistant Girls Basketball Coach is responsible for teaching basketball skills and guiding student athletes in participation and competition. Key duties include organizing team meetings, developing practice schedules, coaching players individually and in groups, monitoring academic performance, reporting injuries, and maintaining equipment. The position requires the coach to model Christ-like behavior and provide proper supervision of athletes during practices and games. A bachelor’s degree is required, along with CPR and First Aid certification, and a commitment to Christian values.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Certified in CPR and First Aid
- Committed Christian and member of a Bible-believing church
Desired Qualifications
- Teaching Endorsement Flexible
- Experience in coaching basketball
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Must possess a strong Christian testimony
- Must follow the Matthew 18 principle
- Must report athlete injuries
- Must ensure academic performance meets eligibility requirements
