Job Summary
Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in leadership and supervision of store personnel, inventory tracking and management, achieving key performance metrics and ensuring efficient daily store operations while ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities include partnering to plan and implement service standards and sales strategies, maintaining brand standards in visual merchandising, ensuring compliance with state regulations and SOPs, coaching and developing the team, monitoring store inventory, handling patient issues and escalations, building professional relationships with partners, assisting in managing the labor budget, maintaining confidentiality, and performing assigned management duties. Skills emphasized include leadership, customer service, cash handling, data analysis, training and development, interpersonal communication, compliance, and ability to work under varied schedule requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service area is a plus
- Must have prior cash handling experience
- Must possess the ability to train, develop and evaluate a team of 40+ employees
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass an MVR background check (delivery locations only)
- Must be able to pass a level 1 and level 2 background check
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies
- Must be able to relate to and work with patrons of different ages, abilities, and patrons that at times are experiencing emotional distress, or displaying a hostile attitude
