Job Summary
Assistant General Manager leads overall management of a stand-alone business, supervising management staff across sales, customer service, and back office; responsible for operations across warehouse, route distribution, and outside sales, with emphasis on budgeting, P&L, training, and performance improvement. Requires hands-on leadership, ability to motivate by example, strong communication with all management levels, self-starting initiative, positive attitude, and the ability to manage assets, facilities, inventory, accounts receivable/collections, and company procedures; duties include coordinating corporate training, ensuring adherence to guidelines, and representing the company in community and customer interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record
- Previous management/supervisory experience
- High level of energy
- Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to pass a drug screen when required
- Formal Education Preferred; A four-year degree or at least 3 years' experience as a business operating manager
